    Dreamland Kids' Day

    A fun event where kids enjoy activities like a petting zoo, barrel train, henna tattoos, face painting, and balloon art. Each activity ranges from 1-3 tickets, but kids with a birthday that month get a special wristband to enjoy all activities for free.
    First Saturdays, 10am-2pm. Free entry; activity tickets $1 or 15 for $12.

    Escape the Box

    Explore the hidden side of Austin with Escape the Box's time-travel-themed escape game and scavenger hunt adventure, which starts with a live intro and sends your group off to explore using a box full of clues and guides, including a playlist, photo challenges, a cipher wheel, map, and more.

    No Stone Unturned: A Lifetime of Archaeology

    Ben McReynolds has donated his extensive and unique collection to the museum. It will be on view for a year along with the permanent collection that includes artifacts from La Belle, the French ship discovered in Matagorda Bay; the story of ranching on the coast; and more than 13,000 years of Texas history.

    Workday at Blunn Creek

    The Blunn Creek Partnership is working on ecological restoration of the 38-acre Blunn Creek Nature Preserve. Volunteers are welcome to join Keep Austin Beautiful to help with the project; wear closed-toe shoes, long pants, and a long sleeved shirt, and bring a water bottle and gloves. Parking near 1200 St. Edwards Dr. and meet promptly at 8:30am as it is a short hike to the working location.
