More about Ley Line
A formidable friendship formed in 2010 as Jake Lloyd and Deezie Brown emerged onto the music scene in Austin. The Geto Gala is a creation of their own table for their sound and their community, yet all are welcome. Black community, even though they feel like they should have a spot at the table. The Gala is for the community, a celebration of black excellence conveyed through the modern nostalgic Texas and Southern sounds they were inspired by.
Austin's Indoor Creature brings a distinctly dreamy, jazz-inspired sound that artfully contrasts lyrics that tackle topics most pop songs don’t dare to wrestle with. They serve up the perfect soundtrack for lying on the floor with good friends, staring upward, and letting your mind wonder.

Van Mary, led by songwriter Emily Whetstone and made whole by bassist Katelynn Garza, guitarist Jim Campo and drummer Jud Johnson, “growls with discontent over political policies, societal dogmas, and gender inequality across a thumping indie rock stomp and moody guitar work” — an apt description offered by Austinot writer Bill Tucker. The group’s momentum has only increased over the past year and they’re now poised to release their debut full-length in 2022.
